It’s Fall and We’re Feelin’ Crafty

A few of our fun fall crafts…

Apple trees with real miniature ornamental apples from our neighbor's tree. We had fun picking, counting, sorting and gluing the apples onto our trees. This is Firefly's tree.

Little apple "pillows". Painted brown paper grocery bags, stuffed with newspaper. Firefly, The Queen Bee and I each made one.

Paper towel tube trees with dollar store leaves & pom poms. Kept standing on platter by placing each tree over an empty vanilla extract bottle or similar. Left to right: Mom's tree, The Queen Bee's apple tree, Firefly's tree.

You make a beautiful fall centerpiece for your table out of your childrens' lovely artwork. You leave the room to get a cup of coffee. You return. There is a giant beetle in the centerpiece. This is life with boys.

Process not Product: I have in mind two or three ideas and gave them tissue paper, paint and candy corn. They added their own ideas with goldfish crackers, stickers and glue and made a dozen pumpkins, each unique.

  1. Those are GREAT crafts!! We’ve been lacking in the crafting department lately – thankfully, our homeschool co-op is in a couple of weeks, and it’s all about art. I’m definitely bringing these ideas to the table 🙂

  2. Thanks, H. We had so much fun doing these crafts.

What GREAT ideas! We did the tree craft too! The girls loved doing it!

  4. I love these ideas! I love that you let them create with certain things on the table, that’s always fun!
