Thanks and Giving Turkeys

We hung up our turkeys “Thanks” and “Giving” on the wall in our dining room.  Then each evening (or thereabouts) at dinner, I ask the kids to share something they are thankful for and we add a feather to the Thanks turkey.  If they went out of their way to help someone or do something for someone that day, we also add a feather to the Giving turkey.

Now these are turkeys I ordered online but they would be super easy to make. Hoping the focus on Thanks and Giving continues, even after the turkeys are full of feathers and Thanksgiving is a distant memory.  Also, this will be a nice segue to our December theme, which will be Helping Others.
